Gas storage rooms are either with a central supply — a system for piping gases to different functional areas within the facility — or without a central supply, in which gases are stored independently and retrieved for use in other areas. Stored gases can be of medical use, industrial use or other purposes. 

In the gas storage room, gas sensors are needed to measure each gas concentration if leaked, to assure no gas leakage in the room.
